My Story

I am a current Sophomore at the University of Delaware studying Fashion Design and Product Innovation as well as minoring in Fashion History and Art History. Growing up my grandmother made me clothes which always made me feel confident and special. Being able to express myself through clothing and makings others feel as good as I did in my grandmother's clothes inspires me today. I have found inspiration in the smallest things. From knitting over 200 unique premature baby hats for charity, to creating crochet hand bags out of sustainable materials, to creating technical, structured designs in my pattern making class, I have been fortunate to express myself and bring joy to others through fashion. I use multiple techniques including knitting, crocheting, sewing and embroidery, and found inspiration through each technique. Though others might just see my designs as “hand-made clothing”, through my artists’ eyes each piece holds much deeper meaning. I hope to continue to help others find expression and confidence through a career in fashion, continuing to tell the story that my grandmother told to me for so many years.
